Rev. Price serves as associate minister and minister of music & worship at Greater Framingham Community Church.  A gifted worship leader and anointed preacher of the Gospel, Rev. Price is a much sought after revivalist, guest preacher and retreat speaker. Rev. Price is also the president and founder of the Black Church Music Ministry Project (www.bcmmp.org) an ecumenical organization with the aim of “serving, nurturing and developing spiritual leaders within music ministry.”  Committed to grooming the next generation of music ministry leaders, Rev. Price serves as Co-Director of the Dr. James Abbington Music Academy of the Hampton University Ministers’ Conference and Organists’ Guild Workshop.

 

Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Rev. Price received a B.A. in music from the University of California, Berkeley and both M.A. and Ph.D. in music (ethnomusicology) from the University of Pittsburgh. Currently, he is an associate professor of music and African American studies at Northeastern University (Boston, MA) where he also serves as chair of the Department of African American Studies.  Rev. Price accomplished his theological training at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.  In 2006, Rev. Price accepted his call to ministry at the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church in the South End of Boston and served as Assistant to the Pastor.  In 2009 Rev. Price was ordained a minister of the Gospel at the Greater Framingham Community Church.  Rev. Price has traveled and ministered in France, England, the Virgin Islands and Trinidad & Tobago.
